NA1 – User tool access and data management

 

Objectives

 

Networking Activity 1 of CALIPSOplus is focused on synchrotron and FEL users, with the following objectives:

• Enable synchrotron and FEL users to fully exploit the potential of European light sources thanks to the structuring activities of the European Synchrotron and FEL User Organisation (ESUO)
• Develop the wayforlight.eu portal as the central information and access point to all European light sources
• Setup a sustainable office of European user offices
• Disseminate the federated identity management platform Umbrella and linked data management tools
• Create a Data Management Plan and update it regularly
• Contribute with specific inputs to WP5 – NA4 – Striving for Sustainability of Photon Science in Europe

Activities

Ongoing activities are:

• Meetings of the European facilities user offices (e.g. 3rd Meeting of European User Offices (EUO3), October 23rd/24th 2017, Lund, SWEDEN),
• ESUO meetings,
• Umbrella meetings, and
• NA1 meetings including discussion on wayforlight.eu portal development.
