WP8: TA3 – Trans-national Access to ALBA
Provision of access to the following infrastructure(s): ALBA
Description of the infrastructure
ALBA is a third generation synchrotron radiation facility (nominal energy 3 GeV in the storage ring) providing a high brilliance photon beam, currently in routinely operation with seven beamlines and with three new beamlines in construction and commissioning with a plan to be opened to users at the end of 2016 and in the beginning of 2019 and 2020, respectively.

|Services currently offered by the infrastructure||ALBA provides beamtime on the basis of the evaluation by peer review committees based only on scientific excellence. All installations like experimental equipment, computing facilities, workshops, agreements with guest houses or travel agencies etc. are open to all visiting groups and at each beamline a team of scientists, engineers, and technicians are offering support.|

|Offered support||All supporting infrastructures like experimental equipment, computing facilities, life science and chemical laboratories, workshops, etc are open to all visiting groups and at each beamline a dedicated team of scientists, engineers, and technicians provides support. The eligible transnational users with granted proposals will receive support to the same extend as Spanish users (conditions are published here).
