The MATRAC 1 School “Application of Neutrons and Synchrotron Radiation in Material Science” will provide a systematic overview of the application of neutrons and synchrotron radiation to the structural analysis of engineering materials. Students and young scientists from research and industry from all of Europe interested in this field are welcome to participate.
We take pleasure in informing you that registration is now open for our MATRAC 1 School “Application of Neutrons and Synchrotron Radiation in Materials Science” to be held in Lauenburg and Hamburg, Germany, from September, 2nd-7th September 2018. The school will be performed in cooperation with the Röntgen-Ångström-Cluster (http://www.rontgen-angstrom.eu), the BMBF (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, Germany), the North German Länder and SINE 2020.
The MATRAC 1 School is significantly funded by German and Swedish authorities for their respective students. Furthermore, financial support for students from other EU countries is granted within the frame of the SINE2020 Neutron and Muon Advanced Schools. The participation fee amounts to 100 €.
This fee includes board and lodging for the duration of the school as well as the book “Neutrons and Synchrotron Radiation in Engineering Materials Science” which has resulted from previous summer and autumn schools with the same title.
Deadline for application: expired – however, applications still possible!
Decision about participation: End of June 2018
